Muscat’s Social Shoreline
Qurum Beach is the quintessential city beach. Lined with majestic palm trees and a stylish paved corniche, it offers a sense of open space that is rare in a capital city. The waters are shallow and calm, and the sand is firm, making it the perfect stage for everything from a serious morning jog to a lazy evening picnic.Things to Do

Trip and Itinerary Advice
Best Time to Visit
Season: October to April offers the most pleasant weather. In the summer, the beach is best enjoyed after 6:00 PM to avoid the intense midday heat. Time of Day: 6:00 AM for a peaceful sunrise and exercise, or 5:00 PM to catch the sunset and the evening social buzz.Pro Tips
Parking: Parking can be tricky on weekend evenings (Thursday and Friday). Use the large public lots near the InterContinental Hotel or the Opera Galleria and enjoy a short walk to the water. Swimming Safety: The water is shallow for a long distance, making it very safe for children. However, always check for "No Swimming" signs near the mangrove inlets where currents can be stronger. Public Etiquette: Qurum is a family-friendly beach. While swimwear is fine on the sand, it is respectful to wear a cover-up or a t-shirt when walking across the road to the nearby cafes or shops.Suggested Half-Day Itinerary
